Abstract Water Drop Photography
The Vision | An Exploration of Perception
Drawing from my personal experience with stereoblindness, I deliberately set up the lighting to create a gradient illumination on droplets, while eliminating specular reflections. This specific optical effect is designed to challenge depth perception, mirroring my own visual reality and the way I navigate three-dimensional space.

By removing the traditional highlights that typically define volume, the imagery invites the viewer into a world of soft transitions and flattened perspectives, where liquid forms become architectural abstractions.
The Process
During the shoot, my trusted collaborator Lucas filmed the delicate droplets in action, capturing the fluid transition between stasis and motion. This collaboration allowed for a multi-dimensional study of a single element, blending high-end technical execution with a deeply personal narrative.
Chromatic Interplay | Solid & Gradient Studies
The series evolves through an exploration of color and contrast. I introduced solid pink backdrops to create a bold, minimalist aesthetic, alongside white-to-pink gradients. This creates a compelling optical phenomenon: the background gradient runs opposite to the light gradient within the droplets themselves, further deconstructing the viewer's sense of depth and volume.
