EN – This project features Milho and Trigo, two contemporary rooms within the Casas do Moinho hospitality collection in Odeceixe, Portugal.
Located on the upper floor, these units share a unique architectural identity where functional elements are integrated into a central "cube" structure, which serves to organize the room's layout without the use of traditional walls.
The interior design harmoniously blends modern minimalism with the traditional charm of exposed wooden roof beams, capturing the essence of sophisticated Village Tourism.
PT – Este projeto apresenta o Milho e o Trigo, dois quartos contemporâneos integrados na coleção de hospitalidade Casas do Moinho, em Odeceixe.
Situadas no piso superior, estas unidades partilham uma identidade arquitetónica singular, onde os elementos funcionais estão integrados numa estrutura central em forma de "cubo", que serve para organizar a disposição do quarto sem o uso de divisórias tradicionais.
O design de interiores harmoniza o minimalismo moderno com o charme tradicional das vigas de madeira expostas, captando a essência de um Turismo de Aldeia sofisticado.
Milho
EN – The Milho unit serves as a perfect example of this spatial innovation. In this room, the central volume subtly defines the different areas of the accommodation. My photography explores how the clean, geometric lines of the interior interact with the warmth of the original attic structure, emphasizing the quiet luxury of the space.
PT - A unidade Milho serve como um exemplo perfeito desta inovação espacial. Neste quarto, o volume central define subtilmente as diferentes áreas do alojamento. A minha fotografia explora a forma como as linhas limpas e geométricas do interior interagem com o calor da estrutura original do sótão, enfatizando o luxo discreto do espaço.
Trigo
EN - The Trigo unit follows the same visionary layout, where the "cube" serves as the heart of the room. The focus here is on the balance of textures, where sleek contemporary surfaces meet the raw materiality of the wooden beams. The series documents the play of light from the skylights, highlighting the unique volume and the feeling of comfort under the rooftops.
PT - A unidade Trigo segue a mesma configuração visionária, onde o "cubo" funciona como o coração do quarto. O foco aqui reside no equilíbrio de texturas, onde as superfícies contemporâneas polidas encontram a materialidade bruta das vigas de madeira. A série documenta o jogo de luz vindo das claraboias, destacando o volume único e a sensação de conforto sob os telhados
