Hollywood Glam, Beauty Photography
This studio session celebrates the timeless elegance of "Hollywood Glam," rendered in a distinct high-key style. The objective was to create sophisticated, luminosity-driven imagery that focuses entirely on technical perfection against a pure white background.
By bathing the scene in bright, clean light and minimizing shadows, environmental distractions are stripped away, leaving the focus on the model’s features, the meticulous makeup application, and the sculptural quality of the hair.
The lighting was designed to achieve a "perfect skin" finish. I overexposed the background to a pure white while carefully sculpting the light on the face to visually smooth the skin. By utilizing a soft main light paired with an under-lighting technique, I filled in shadows and smoothed textures, as well as creating an intentional catchlight.
This approach allowed for specific highlights on the skin, creating a healthy, luminous glow that complements the high-glam aesthetic. The final result is a series of clean and luminous beauty portraits designed for editorial or high-end cosmetic branding.
In collaboration with makeup artist Joana Martins and hair stylist Yana Skoroda, we developed a red-carpet look defined by a bold red lip and defined eyes, complemented by flawless Hollywood curls. Utilizing precise, wrapping high-key studio lighting, I sculpted these elements to ensure every detail, from the hair's vibrant texture to the skin's radiant clarity, was rendered with hyper-realistic precision.
